To commemorate the publication of Maria Cornejo: Zero 1997-2017+, we are excited share a limited-edition collection inspired by our archives.
After looking through past collections to research and develop the book, a favorite print emerged and an idea was born, honoring the incredible body of work built over the years. The Book Print, first shown on the Fall/Winter 2011 runway was an immediate success, becoming a top seller and one of our most requested digital prints.
The origin of the print comes from an idea sparked while staying at friends house in London. Maria found herself absorbed by the full bookshelf in her room and realized that one of life’s greatest luxuries is having time to immerse yourself in a story. Back in New York, Maria took a photo of the shelves at Housing Works Bookstore which turned into one our most beloved prints.
Reissued and recolored, our twelve piece collection features a custom fringe jacquard and vibrant silk prints based on the original digital image of book-filled shelves taken by Maria.
Classic silhouettes such as the IQ tunic and dress (which also first made an appearance for Fall/Winter 2011), the Edi gilet, Libe dress and Eko pants were selected to celebrate the timeless ease of our signature shapes.
